Assam Junior Assistants Seek Pay Parity

Assam Junior Assistants Seek Pay Parity

In Assam, there's a problem with the pay of Junior Assistants in secondary schools.

Those who were hired recently through a special recruitment process called SLRC are getting paid less than those who were hired before.

The newer employees get a grade pay of Rs 5,600, while the older ones get Rs 6,200.

This is unfair because both groups do the same work and have the same qualifications.

The employees' association is asking the government to fix this and make sure everyone gets paid the same.

They say this pay difference is causing problems, like making it hard for employees to switch jobs within the system.

The association wants the Chief Minister and other officials to step in and solve this issue.
