AISA Launches Citywide Mumbai Survey On College Conditions
A student organisation called AISA has started a survey of colleges in Mumbai.
Students are being asked to describe what their campuses are like.
The survey checks things such as clean water, toilets, hygiene and canteen facilities.
It also asks about teaching, exams, teachers, placements and students’ freedom to express themselves.
The first phase includes 10 colleges and institutions.
AISA will collect the answers and prepare a report.
The report will be shared with college leaders and other authorities.
AISA hopes student representatives will help expand the survey to more campuses.
The Mumbai chapter of the All India Students’ Association launched the first phase of a citywide college survey.
The survey examines infrastructure, academic practices, academic freedom, placements, evaluation systems and student experiences.
Students at 10 Mumbai colleges and institutions have been asked to complete an online questionnaire.
AISA plans to compile the responses into a report for college administrations and relevant authorities.
The organisation intends to expand the campaign through student representatives and include more colleges in later phases.
