Vijayawada Officials Inspect Areas Prone to Waterlogging
The head of Vijayawada city, HM Dhyanachandra, checked out places that often flood when it rains.
He wanted to figure out why water gets stuck in these spots.
He told his team to come up with plans to stop the water from pooling.
At one place, he suggested making the drains bigger.
Instead of building a long new drain, he wanted to see if they could send the water to a nearby canal.
He also looked at a drain on Eluru Road and told them to make it wider to help the water flow away faster.
VMC Commissioner HM Dhyanachandra inspected areas in Vijayawada prone to waterlogging.
The inspection aimed to identify causes and solutions for water stagnation during rains.
Dhyanachandra proposed expanding a drain at Benz Circle service road.
