Karnataka Orders Capture of Tigers
In a village called Nanjedevanapura in Chamarajanagar district, five tigers were seen near a stone quarry.
This made the people in the village very scared.
The Forest Department started a big operation to find and safely capture the tigers.
The local government also put some rules in place to keep everyone safe, like not letting people go out alone.
They even used two trained elephants and special cameras to help find the tigers.
The Forest Minister, Eshwar Khandre, said that the safety of both people and tigers is very important.
He also said that they need to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future.
Some farmers want the tigers to be captured instead of just being chased away because they are afraid the tigers might come back.
The local leader and the chief minister are also involved in making sure everything is handled properly.
Five tigers, including a tigress and her four cubs, were spotted near a quarry in Nanjedevanapura village, Chamarajanagar district.
Karnataka Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre directed officials to install cages and, if required, tranquilize and capture the tigers for safe relocation.
Prohibitory orders were imposed in three villages for two days to ensure public safety and prevent gatherings near the operation site.
Advanced equipment, including drones and thermal cameras, along with trained elephants, were deployed to track and capture the tigers.
The operation aims to balance public safety and wildlife conservation, with continuous monitoring and additional personnel to prevent any harm to humans or animals.
