Indian Army Physical Requirements: Fitness, Vision, and Health Standards Explained
To join the Indian Army, you need to be really fit and healthy!
First, there's a running test where you have to run a certain distance fast.
You also need to do lots of push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups.
Your height and weight need to be just right for your body.
Your eyesight has to be good, like 6/6 vision, and you need to see colors properly.
You can't have big tattoos, only small ones in specific places.
Your teeth must be clean and healthy.
Finally, army officers will talk to you to see if you're mentally ready for the job.
If you don't meet these rules, you might not be able to join.
Candidates must meet stringent physical and mental standards for Indian Army service.
The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) includes running, push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, squats, lunges, and swimming.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT) assesses height, chest, and weight proportionality.
