SC Grants 4 Weeks to Trace Russian Woman, Child in Custody Battle
There is a big fight between a Russian mom and an Indian dad over who should take care of their child.
The mom took the child and went to Russia, which made the Indian courts very upset.
The Indian government is trying to find them and bring them back.
The courts are being careful because they don't want to hurt the friendship between India and Russia.
They gave the government four more weeks to find the mom and child.
The courts also said they hope the child is safe and healthy.
The dad says he doesn't know where they are, and the courts have asked the police and the government to help find them.
The Supreme Court of India granted the Centre four weeks to trace a Russian woman and her child who fled to Russia amid a custody battle.
Interpol notices have been issued to locate and bring back the woman and the child.
The court emphasized the need for proper coordination between Indian and Russian authorities to resolve the issue diplomatically.
The woman, who had been residing in India since 2019, allegedly left the country with the child via the Nepal border and possibly reached Russia through Sharjah.
The court had previously directed that the child's custody be shared between the mother and father, with the mother having custody for three days a week.
