Missing Cat Returns Home After Ten Years on Owner’s Birthday
Charlie was a family cat who went missing ten years ago.
Her owners, sisters Lucy and Hannah, looked for her but could not find her.
Charlie was later found living in bushes near their home.
A person fed her for a few weeks and then took her to a veterinarian.
The vet read the phone number on her microchip and called Hannah.
The sisters were very surprised and happy to hear the news.
Charlie seemed healthy when she was found.
The family still does not know where she lived during those ten years.
Charlie, a cat who disappeared in 2016, was found and reunited with her family in Wales earlier this year.
Sisters Lucy Robertson and Hannah Davies had searched for Charlie after she went missing following a move from Newbridge to Abercarn.
A nearby resident found Charlie living in bushes and fed her for several weeks before taking her to a veterinarian.
The veterinarian identified the family through the phone number on Charlie’s microchip and contacted Davies.
Charlie appeared well and had no outstanding health issues; the sisters do not know where she had been during the decade away.
