CLAT 2027 Syllabus and Exam Pattern Remain Unchanged
The CLAT 2027 exam will keep the same syllabus and format as before.
The Consortium of National Law Universities and the National Law School of India University made this decision during their annual meeting on July 18, 2026.
The exam will still have 120 multiple-choice questions in five sections: English Language, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.
Each correct answer gives one mark, and there's a small penalty for wrong answers.
The Consortium is also asking for feedback on the exam from experts, students, and the public until August 31, 2026.
They will look at the feedback and the recommendations from an expert committee to make any changes for CLAT 2028.
The syllabus and exam pattern for CLAT 2027 will remain unchanged.
The decision was made during the annual meeting of the Consortium's Governing Body on July 18, 2026.
The CLAT 2027 exam will be a two-hour computer-based test with 120 multiple-choice questions.
Stakeholders can submit feedback on the exam until August 31, 2026.
Recommendations from the CLAT Expert Committee Report 2026 will be considered for CLAT 2028.
