Over 100 Farmers' Activists Booked in UP
In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, over 100 farmers' activists protested at the Jagahedi toll plaza.
They were upset about how toll employees treated farmers and had several demands.
The protest blocked traffic, and the police have now booked over 100 people, including a local leader.
The activists want roads to be fixed before toll taxes are charged, tractors to be exempt from toll fees, and better checks on toll employees.
They gave the authorities 15 days to meet their demands or they will protest again.
Over 100 activists of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tomar faction) were booked for protesting at the Jagahedi toll plaza in Muzaffarnagar, UP.
The protest disrupted traffic and damaged public property, leading to a case under BNS and Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.
Activists demanded road repairs, exemption of tractors from toll charges, and verification of toll plaza employees' backgrounds.
