Cockroach Janta Party Holds Strategy Meet to Chart Post-NEET Future

A big group of students in India called the Cockroach Janta Party protested against problems with an important medical exam called NEET.

They believed test papers were leaked.

The students sat peacefully in Delhi for a whole month to make their voices heard.

Their protest worked: the government promised big changes to how exams are run, and an education minister quit.

Now the leaders of the group are meeting in a city called Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra to decide what to do next.

The two-day meeting will also decide whether the group should help students with other problems, like hard-to-get government jobs and other exam issues.

The leader of the group, Abhijeet Dipke, says they will keep working as a pressure group that asks the government for change.

They do not plan to become a political party and run in elections.

What they decide could shape how student groups work together across India in the future.
