Violent Clashes Erupt Outside Turning Point USA Event at UC Berkeley
A group that supports conservative ideas, called Turning Point USA, was having an event at UC Berkeley.
Some people who disagreed with them showed up to protest, and things got very loud and violent.
Videos showed people fighting with each other and with police officers, and some people got hurt.
The police arrested a couple of people.
Even though there was a lot of trouble outside, the event inside the building still happened.
Because of the fight, a part of the U.S. government called the Civil Rights division is going to look into how the police and the school handled the situation to make sure everyone was kept safe.
A violent protest occurred at UC Berkeley ahead of a Turning Point USA event featuring Rob Schneider and Frank Turek.
Over 100 protesters clashed with attendees and police, blocking entrances and shouting anti-fascist slogans.
Videos showed bloody altercations, and at least two arrests were made, including one for battery.
TPUSA staff identified some protesters as Antifa, alleging they broke through police barricades.
