FIRs filed against schools for election duty non-compliance
Three city governments in India have filed police reports against two private schools and their staff.
The schools are in Thane, Dombivali, and Mira Road.
The staff did not show up for training for election duty, even after being reminded many times.
The governments say this is a big problem because many people are needed to help with the elections.
The staff from one school in Dombivali, 80 people, did not come at all.
The governments have warned that if the staff do not come for duty on January 15 and 16, they will take legal action.
Some staff have now said they will be present for the election duty.
FIRs registered against two private English medium schools and their staff for not reporting to mandatory election duty.
TMC filed an FIR against the principal of a school in Thane for not complying with election commission’s orders.
KDMC filed an FIR against 80 staff members of a school in Dombivali for not attending election duty training.
MBMC filed a criminal case against 113 staff members of a school in Mira Road for not reporting to election duty.
Legal action warned for those not reporting to election duty on January 15 and 16.
