India's Electronics Production and Exports Surge
India has seen a big increase in making and selling electronics.
The production of electronic goods has grown six times, and exports have grown eight times in the last 11 years.
This growth is because of the government's plans, like the PLI Scheme and the 'Make in India' initiative.
Many jobs have been created, and India is now a big player in making mobile phones and other electronics.
The government is also working on making more parts and components in India, which will help even more in the future.
India's electronics production increased six times from ₹1.9 lakh crore in 2014-15 to ₹11.3 lakh crore in 2024-25.
Exports rose eight times from ₹0.38 lakh crore to ₹3.3 lakh crore in the same period.
The PLI Scheme for Large Scale Electronics Manufacturing attracted over ₹13,475 crore in investments, achieving ₹9.8 lakh crore in production.
Electronics manufacturing created 25 lakh jobs in the last decade, with 1.3 lakh jobs created in the last five years.
India is now the second-largest mobile manufacturing country in the world, with 300 mobile manufacturing units.
