Accommodation Problems Strand Indian Athletes Before 2026 Asian Games

Indian athletes arrived in Nagoya for the 2026 Asian Games but had trouble getting their rooms.

A computer system problem reportedly affected athlete information and accommodation records.

Some athletes waited for many hours, with reports ranging from seven to more than 14 hours.

A video showed Indian and Thai representatives sleeping on floors while they waited.

Teams from Vietnam, China and South Korea were also reportedly affected.

India arranged 15 extra rooms for some athletes and officials.

The Indian shooting team is facing another problem because its training venue is more than two hours away.

The problems have raised concerns about whether the Games’ accommodation and transport plans are ready.
