NGT Orders Halt on Noida Projects Over Environmental Violations
The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has told the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) to make sure that two real estate projects in Greater Noida stop building because they are breaking environmental rules.
The NGT also asked the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) to give a report on other projects that might be breaking these rules.
This happened because someone named Rajendra Tyagi said that building was still happening even though the NGT had ordered it to stop.
The NGT wants to make sure that all projects follow the rules to protect the environment.
The next hearing is on September 24, 2026.
