LGBTQ+ Community Holds Vigil for Nepal Flood Victims

LGBTQ+ Community Holds Vigil for Nepal Flood Victims

A devastating flood hit parts of Nepal after an ice-rock avalanche caused a huge rush of water, mud, and debris.

Many people died, and many others were still missing.

Members of Nepal’s LGBTQ+ community gathered in Kathmandu to remember the victims.

They lit candles, observed silence, and prayed for the dead and missing.

The gathering was organized by the Blue Diamond Society.

The group had planned a Pride parade and celebration but cancelled them because of the disaster.

Instead, it held a smaller event focused on mourning and support.

Rescuers continued looking for people in the affected districts.
