Dubai to Offer Licenses for Tourists to Drive Recreational Boats
Dubai is making it easier for tourists to enjoy boating.
If you have a boating license from your home country (like the US or Europe), you can now get a special license to drive boats like jet skis in Dubai.
The Dubai government is doing this to make sure everyone has a safe and fun time on the water and to help Dubai's economy grow.
They also updated rules for the people who work on boats to make sure they are well-trained and qualified.
Dubai allows international tourists to obtain licenses for recreational boating activities.
Visitors holding licenses from IMO member states, including the US and Europe, can apply.
The Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA) will issue local recreational boating licenses.
The initiative aims to enhance maritime experiences for tourists and boost the local economy.
DMA also updated a manual regulating the licensing of marine vessels' crews in Dubai.
