Robots with Pain-Sensing E-Skin Mimic Human Reflexes

Scientists in Hong Kong have made a special skin for robots that can feel touch and pain, just like humans.

This skin is made up of four layers that work together to sense how hard something is touching the robot.

If the touch is gentle, the robot can use that information to handle objects or interact with people.

But if the touch is too hard and could cause damage, the skin sends a quick signal to the robot's motors, making it move away fast, just like how a person would pull their hand away from something hot.

The skin can also tell if it's damaged and can be easily fixed by replacing the broken parts.

This new technology helps robots stay safe and work better with people.
