Ric Charlesworth Questions Shreyas Iyer's Asia Cup Omission

A famous hockey player named Ric Charlesworth is surprised that a cricketer named Shreyas Iyer wasn't picked for the Asia Cup.

Charlesworth thinks Iyer is a better player than Rinku Singh, who was chosen instead.

He believes the cricket selectors are too old-fashioned, comparing players based on their batting position rather than their actual skills.

He points out Iyer's strong performance in the IPL, including a high number of runs, and says the selectors missed an opportunity.

Charlesworth suggests the selectors should adapt to modern T20 cricket tactics, where all batsmen play similarly, emphasizing Iyer's potential for success.

He believes Iyer, who demonstrates flair and skill developed through practice, deserves a place in the team.
