UK Bans US Islamic Preacher for Hamas Support
The UK has banned an Islamic preacher named Dr Shadee Elmasry from entering the country.
The reason is that he has supported the extremist group Hamas and made controversial statements about the Israel-Hamas conflict.
He was supposed to give talks in Birmingham, Bolton, and London, but the UK Home Secretary revoked his travel authorization.
The UK government has a policy to prevent people who spread hate or extremist ideas from entering the country.
Dr Elmasry says his message is about compassion and connection, and he hopes the ban will be lifted.
This is not the first time the UK has banned someone for extremist views; earlier, a Pakistani influencer was also banned for similar reasons.
