Water Storage Below 50 Percent in 109 Gujarat Dams

Gujarat has 206 dams that store water.

More than half of them, or 109 dams, are less than half full.

Among these, 73 dams have less than 25 percent water.

Twenty-eight dams are between 50 and 70 percent full.

Thirty-seven dams are between 70 and 100 percent full.

Another 32 dams are completely full.

Together, all the reservoirs contain 71.87 percent of their total capacity.

The Sardar Sarovar reservoir is almost full, with 99.39 percent of its capacity stored.
