Fadnavis Forms Panel to Probe Shirsat in Rs 5000-Cr Land Scam
The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, has set up a team to look into a big land scam.
The team will investigate a minister named Sanjay Shirsat, who is accused of using fake papers to take control of a forest land worth Rs 5000 crore.
This land is supposed to be protected.
Another politician, Rohit Pawar, said that Shirsat gave this land to a family called Biwalkar illegally and might have taken money for it.
The team includes forest officers, land officials, and others who will check if Shirsat did something wrong.
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis formed a six-member committee to probe a Rs 5000 crore land scam involving Sanjay Shirsat.
The scam involves allegations of using fake documents to claim ownership of a protected forest land parcel in Navi Mumbai.
