JV to invest Rs 1,800 crore for 100 freight rakes
Texmaco, a big Indian rail company, teamed up with Touax from France and TrinityRail from the US.
They made a new company called TTRL.
TTRL will spend about 1,800 crore rupees in the next few years to buy 100 new freight train cars.
This helps India move more goods by train instead of road, which is part of a big plan to make rail freight bigger.
The three companies own the new company in a 34%-34%-32% split.
They said the deal is not a family business deal.
The plan is to make trains faster, cheaper, and better for the country.
Texmaco, Touax Group, and TrinityRail Global form joint venture Touax Texmaco Railcar Leasing (TTRL).
The JV plans to invest about Rs 1,800 crore over 3‑5 years to procure 100 freight train rakes.
Ownership: Touax Rail India 34%+1 share, Texmaco 34%-1 share, TrinityRail 32%.
Investment aligns with India’s National Rail Plan to raise freight share from 27% to 45%.
No related‑party deal; new partner not connected to Texmaco promoter.
