Kagiso Rabada Out of First Test With Rib Injury, Fitness for Second Uncertain
A star bowler for South Africa, Kagiso Rabada, got hurt in his rib during practice before the first game.
Doctors looked at him and decided he couldn't play in that match.
They are still checking to see if he will be able to play in the next game, which is a few days later.
Because he can't play, another player named Corbin Bosch was chosen to play instead.
It's not yet known if Rabada will be well enough for the second match.
Kagiso Rabada was ruled out of the first Test due to a rib injury sustained during training.
The injury occurred during the first training session on Tuesday at Eden Gardens.
Rabada underwent scans and a fitness test but experienced discomfort.
His availability for the second Test, starting November 22, is uncertain as he is undergoing further assessments.
Corbin Bosch was drafted into the playing XI as Rabada's replacement.
