Controversies Mar National Boxing Championships
The National Boxing Championships had some big problems.
First, a boxer named Ishmeet said his opponent Mohit bit him during a fight.
The referee didn't stop the fight right away, which made Ishmeet's team upset.
Later, in another fight, a boxer named Lalit didn't come back for the third round, and his team said it was because they were tired.
But the other team said Lalit's coaches were trying to trick the referee.
The boxing federation said they would look into both problems.
This all happened just a few days after another boxer, Ashish Chaudhary, was kicked out of the competition for a head clash.
Some people are worried about the referees making fair decisions.
A biting incident occurred between boxers Ishmeet and Mohit during a middleweight bout, with Ishmeet alleging Mohit bit him multiple times.
The referee allowed the bout to continue despite the protest, and the Railways team opposed the decision.
In a Bantamweight bout, Pawan Bartwal was declared the winner after Lalit failed to report for the third round, leading to a protest by the All India Police contingent.
The Boxing Federation of India (BFI) stated that Lalit abandoned the bout and a detailed report on both incidents would be submitted.
The controversies follow the recent disqualification of Ashish Chaudhary, raising concerns over officiating standards at the championships.
