UP Grants 20% Reservation to Ex-Agniveers in Police, Fire Depts
The Uttar Pradesh government will give ex-military personnel, called Agniveers, a 20% reservation in police and fire department jobs.
This decision, made on June 6, 2025, helps Agniveers find jobs after their service.
The reservation covers all categories: General, SC, ST, and OBC.
Agniveers will also get age relaxation.
The first Agniveer group finishes their service in 2026.
