TN CM Stalin Warns Against 'Vote Theft' During Electoral Roll Revision
The leader of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin, is concerned about a special update to the voter list happening in his state.
He believes that this update, managed by the Election Commission, needs close watching to make sure nobody is unfairly removed from the list, calling it a way to prevent 'vote theft.'
His party, the DMK, is fighting this in the highest court and will also protest it.
Stalin is telling his party members to help people fill out the necessary forms by December 4, as not doing so could mean losing the right to vote.
He wants his party workers to act like protectors of democracy during this time, comparing the current situation to past struggles.
Stalin also indirectly criticized a new political rival who he believes wants to harm the DMK.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin urged strict monitoring of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to prevent 'vote theft'.
Stalin stated that voters could lose their rights if they are not home to submit forms during Booth Level Officer visits, with a deadline of December 4.
The DMK, led by Stalin, is challenging the SIR in the Supreme Court and plans protests on November 11.
He called upon DMK Booth Level Agents to act as guardians of democracy during the revision process.
Stalin made a veiled reference to a new political opponent, asserting that no one can destroy the DMK.
