Trump Announces AI Force and Czar Without Details
President Donald Trump said he wants the government to create a group called an AI Force.
He compared it to the Space Force.
He also wants to choose a leader called an AI czar.
Trump did not explain what the new group would do.
He did not announce how much money it would receive or where it would work.
He said only “high IQ” people should apply for the leadership role.
Some people see this as evidence that the government is taking AI risks seriously.
Others think it may be more about showing control over an important technology than creating a detailed oversight plan.

He provided no details about the force’s responsibilities, budget, agency placement, or leadership.
Trump said the czar position would be open to “high IQ” researchers and industry leaders.
