IIM Udaipur and PRICE Launch Survey on Financial Maturity
Imagine a study trying to understand how well people in Gujarat and Rajasthan handle their money.
IIM Udaipur and PRICE are working together to create a special 'money smarts' test, called the Financial Maturity Index (FMI).
They'll ask people about things like saving, using financial products, and if they use online banking.
They will survey 4,000 people in cities and villages to gather information.
They want to see how well people understand and manage money to help the government make good financial policies and plans.
Trained investigators will start the survey in August 2025 and it will take six months.
The information collected will only be used for research and will not be shared for any other reasons.

The Financial Maturity Index (FMI) will assess financial literacy, saving, product usage, and digital adoption.
