BRS Demands Apology from CM Revanth Over 'Criminal Waste' Jibe
In Telangana, two leaders from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi party asked the Chief Minister to say sorry.
They were upset because he called engineering students "criminal waste."
They said the comment hurt students and teachers and made the state look bad.
One leader also said the Chief Minister had no real experience in engineering or jobs.
The other leader said the state’s engineers do very well around the world.
They also said the schools in the state need better facilities.
BRS leaders KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao demanded an unconditional apology from Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for calling engineering graduates "criminal waste" on July 30.
The leaders criticized the CM’s qualifications to comment on engineers, questioning his experience in exams, interviews, and professional work.
KT Rama Rao accused the CM of being a former real estate broker turned blackmailer who bought the post in a bankrupt Congress party.
Harish Rao called the remark insulting to students and educators, noting Telangana engineers excel globally and that the comment disrespects teachers.
He also accused the CM of failing as Education Minister, citing lack of basic infrastructure in government schools.
