Himachal Pradesh CM Seeks Funds for Kangra Airport Expansion
The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Mr. Sukhu, wants to make the Kangra Airport bigger and better.
He's asking for money from the central government to help pay for it.
He also wants to make sure the airport can handle flights even when it's not super clear, like at night.
He's also looking to improve airports in Shimla to allow for more flights.
He is planning to get more land, check the costs, and maybe team up with others to get the job done.

Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhu requested Special Central Assistance for Kangra Airport expansion.
He asked the Ministry of Civil Aviation to recommend the project to the Ministry of Finance and PMO.
Sukhu mentioned the state is acquiring ~150 hectares of land for expansion, with awards ready for over Rs 1900 crore.
He urged a review of the Techno-Economic Feasibility Report by the Airports Authority of India.
Sukhu requested improvements like night-landing facilities and extended operating hours at Shimla Airport.
