Punjab Launches Portal for Private School Reservations
The Punjab education department has started the first step to follow a rule that says private schools must save 25% of their seats for children who come from poor or disadvantaged families.
They have created a special website where all private schools in Punjab must sign up by January 12.
On this website, schools have to share details about the children they have already admitted under this rule.
Parents can also use this website to see how many seats are available in different schools.
This is to make sure that all children, no matter their background, have a chance to get a good education.
Punjab education department launches portal for private school reservations under RTE Act.
Private schools must register on the portal by January 12 and provide details of underprivileged admissions.
The portal is live and accessible to both schools and parents.
Parents can check the number of available seats in specific schools.
The initiative aims to implement the 25% reservation quota for disadvantaged groups.
