India to Celebrate Eid al-Adha on June 7, 2025

Eid al-Adha, also known as Bakrid, is a major Muslim holiday.

It remembers when Prophet Ibrahim was ready to sacrifice his son.

The date is based on seeing the new moon.

In India, the moon was seen, so Eid will be on June 7, 2025.

This is a day after Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries celebrate it.

People celebrate with prayers, sharing food, and sometimes sacrificing animals to share the meat with family and those less fortunate.

It's a time for togetherness and helping others.
