Food Safety Lapses Found at Two Indore Dhabas

Food safety officials checked two dhabas on Indore’s Bypass Road.

They found several problems with cleanliness and food storage.

Some required certificates were missing or not displayed.

At one dhaba, raw food packets were open and water had collected near the washing area.

At the other, the storage area and kitchen were not clean.

Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food were kept in the same freezer there.

Some workers were not wearing protective clothing such as caps, aprons or gloves.

Officials collected 11 food samples to test in a laboratory in Bhopal.

Authorities will decide what to do after receiving the test results.
