Amazon Leo Eyes India for Satellite Broadband Expansion
Amazon Leo, a satellite broadband network, is interested in expanding to India.
They think India is a great place because many people there don't have internet access.
They have about 400 satellites in space and want to offer fast internet to homes, especially in remote areas.
However, they need permission from the Indian government before they can start.
They hope to launch their services soon but haven't announced a specific date yet.
Amazon Leo views India as a promising market for its satellite broadband network.
The network aims to provide high-speed internet to homes, especially in remote areas.
Amazon Leo has around 400 satellites in orbit and plans to expand globally.
The service is subject to regulatory and security clearances in India.
Amazon Leo will compete with other players like Starlink, Jio, and Eutelsat in India's satellite market.
