NMMC Plans ₹5-Crore Pedestrian Bridge Near Digha Railway Station

The Digha railway station is difficult for many people to reach safely.

Residents must currently cross the busy Thane-Belapur Road.

Many vehicles use this road every day.

Crossing is hardest during morning and evening rush hours.

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation plans to build a pedestrian bridge near the station.

The project is expected to cost about ₹5 crore.

The bridge could help residents, office workers and MIDC employees.

It may also help manage large crowds going to events at Patni ground.

Construction is expected to start after the tender process is completed.
