Hyderabad's International Children's Theatre Festival Concludes

Hyderabad's second International Children's Theatre Festival recently concluded at Ravindra Bharathi.

Organized by Nishumbita School of Drama and the language and culture department, the festival featured 27 performances over three days.

Participants included government and private school students, as well as international teams from Japan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

Despite challenges like funding gaps and visa delays, the festival showcased diverse theatre forms, including plays, mime, and puppetry.

The organizer, Dr. Ram Mohan Holagundi, emphasized the importance of theatre in developing character and team spirit among children.

The festival received support from the Telangana Sangeetha Nataka Akademi and the department of language and culture, but relied heavily on personal funds and volunteer efforts due to a lack of sponsors.
