BPCL Plans 10-Year LPG Infrastructure Expansion
BPCL, a big oil company in India, is planning to spend a lot of money (₹4,600 crore) over the next 10 years to build more places to store and handle LPG, a type of cooking gas.
They need to do this because more people, especially those helped by a government program called PM Ujjawala, are using LPG.
Right now, BPCL sells a lot of LPG and has many customers.
They are also making new, better products like a more efficient stove and a machine that lets people get LPG anytime, day or night.
This is all to make sure everyone who needs LPG can get it easily.
BPCL plans a 10-year LPG infrastructure expansion with a ₹4,600 crore investment.
The expansion includes adding storage and augmenting import facilities to meet growing demand.
LPG demand is rising, with PM Ujjawala beneficiaries using 4.47 cylinders per capita in FY25.
BPCL achieved record LPG sales and market share in FY25, with significant growth in customer base.
New initiatives include energy-efficient stoves and AI-powered LPG vending machines.
