Musk's Grok 4.6 to rival China's AI model
Elon Musk's company, xAI, is working on a new AI model called Grok 4.6.
It has 2 trillion parts that help it learn and think.
This new model is expected to finish its first round of learning next week.
Musk says it will be better than the current model, Grok 4.5, in every way.
It's also faster and cheaper to run.
This new model is a response to a Chinese AI model called Kimi K3, which is currently the best at coding tasks.
Kimi K3 has 2.8 trillion parts and was released by a Chinese company called Moonshot AI.
While Kimi K3 is smarter, Grok 4.5 is cheaper to use.
Musk hopes Grok 4.6 will be as smart as Kimi K3 but still cost less.
The new model is expected to be available to the public between late August and mid-September.
This is part of a bigger competition in the AI world, with other companies like Google and OpenAI also working on their own advanced models.
Elon Musk's xAI announces Grok 4.6, a 2 trillion parameter AI model, finishing initial training next week.
Grok 4.6 aims to surpass China's Kimi K3 model, which currently leads in coding tasks.
Grok 4.6 is expected to be more intelligent and cost-efficient than the current Grok 4.5 model.
Public launch of Grok 4.6 is anticipated between late August and mid-September.
The AI race involves multiple companies, including Google and OpenAI, developing advanced models.
