Netanyahu Condemns Settler Violence in West Bank Villages

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized violence by some Israeli settlers.

The reported violence happened in two Palestinian villages in the occupied West Bank.

One village, Qusra, had already experienced weeks of rising tension.

On Saturday, dozens of settlers allegedly entered Qusra and threw stones.

Some reportedly barricaded themselves inside a house while Palestinians were inside.

Israeli soldiers and border police came to separate the groups and remove the settlers.

Police opened an investigation and took some vehicles as evidence.

Netanyahu said the attackers were breaking the law and hurting Israel’s reputation.

The villages’ names are spelled Qusra and Jalud, although one report also spells Jalud as Jilud.
