Heavy Rainfall Expected Across Gujarat, Mumbai, and Other Indian States
The India Meteorological Department said that a lot of rain is coming to many parts of India.
In Gujarat and Mumbai, the rain could be very heavy, even more than 30 centimeters in some places.
This heavy rain can make roads and trains stop, cause floods, and even make the ground slide.
A big low‑pressure area, called a depression, is moving across the country and is making the weather worse.
People in many states, from Delhi in the north to Kerala in the south, should be careful and stay safe.
India Meteorological Department forecasts exceptionally heavy rain in Gujarat, exceeding 30 cm on July 31.
Mumbai, Konkan, Goa, and parts of Maharashtra likely to receive very heavy showers, with isolated spots over 21 cm.
The intense rainfall could trigger localized flooding, waterlogging, landslides, and disrupt road and rail traffic across vulnerable regions.
A deep depression over central Chhattisgarh and adjoining Odisha is expected to weaken and move westward, affecting central India.
Heavy to very heavy rain is projected across northern, eastern, and southern states, including Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Assam, and Kerala.
