Assam Climber First Woman to Summit Mt. Leo Pargil
Imagine a mountain climber named Barasa from Assam who loves climbing mountains.
She just did something super cool!
She climbed a really tall mountain called Mt.
Leo Pargil, which is super high up in the sky.
Barasa was the first woman from her home state to do this.
It was a tough climb because the air is thin and it's very cold.
She trained hard and even took some classes to get ready.
She even left her job to follow her dream of climbing mountains!
Now, she wants to keep climbing and show off her skills for Assam.
Barasa Sarma, from Pathsala, Assam, summited Mt. Leo Pargil on August 28.
She was the only woman and Assamese climber on the expedition.
The expedition team was led by Bhuvneshwer Singh.
Sarma had previously summited Mt Shinkun East in July.
She plans to continue mountaineering as a career, representing Assam.
