Himanta Sarma Marks Zubeen Garg’s First Death Anniversary

Assam singer Zubeen Garg died one year ago on September 19.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said people still miss him deeply.

He called Garg’s absence a painful void that people must learn to live with.

Fans gathered near Guwahati to remember the singer.

They prayed, lit lamps, sang his songs, and painted his pictures.

Similar events took place in Garg’s hometown of Jorhat and other parts of Assam.

An Assam Police investigation charged seven people in connection with his death, including four accused of murder.

Singapore Police separately said they found no evidence that someone had deliberately caused his death.
