Congress Reviews NSUI Campaign After Delhi University Election Wipeout
The NSUI, the student organization linked to Congress, lost all four main posts in Delhi University’s student elections.
The ABVP won three posts.
An independent candidate won the fourth post, which was vice president.
NSUI came second in the presidential race but still lost to the ABVP candidate.
Reports say Rahul Gandhi was unhappy with how the campaign was managed.
Congress leaders are examining the choice of candidates and the campaign strategy.
They are also concerned about fighting within the student group and rebel candidates.
The campaign discussed student safety, housing, campus facilities and social justice.
Congress may take action after reviewing what went wrong.
NSUI failed to win any of the four central posts in the Delhi University Students’ Union elections.
ABVP won the president, secretary and joint secretary positions, while Independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen won vice president.
