India Plans Green Hydrogen Truck Routes to Reduce Pollution
India is taking steps to reduce pollution by using green hydrogen-powered trucks.
The government has picked out 10 highway routes where these trucks will drive.
These trucks will use a clean fuel called green hydrogen.
The goal is to make India's roads cleaner and reduce the environmental impact of vehicles.
This plan is part of a larger strategy to improve infrastructure and boost the economy, with the goal of becoming a world leader in the automotive industry within the next five years.
This is one of the ways the country plans to fight climate change.
The Indian government has identified 10 highway stretches for green hydrogen truck deployment.
The initiative aims to reduce vehicular pollution.
Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, announced the plan.
Hydrogen filling stations will be set up on the stretches.
Companies like Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland and Volvo are already making hydrogen-powered trucks.
