Thai Airways Suspends Cargo Services Amid Bangkok Flood Disruptions

Flooding around Bangkok made it difficult for many Thai Airways employees to reach work.

This left the airline without enough staff to handle cargo at the airport.

Cargo deliveries and transfers to flights began to pile up.

Thai Airways temporarily stopped accepting most inbound, outbound and transit cargo.

Some important shipments, such as mail and live animals, could still be handled.

The airline also reported a large backlog of passenger baggage.

Many flights were delayed, and departures from Bangkok were expected to be reduced temporarily.

Cargo service is expected to return after October 6 if conditions improve.
