ADM, Bayer Expand Maharashtra Soybean Farming Program
ADM and Bayer have decided to work together for three more years to help farmers in Maharashtra, India, grow soybeans in a way that's good for the environment.
They started this project in 2022 and it was so successful that they want to help even more farmers.
Now, they plan to teach and support 100,000 farmers across seven districts.
They will use special training programs and a framework called the ProTerra Foundation to make sure the farming is sustainable.
This means they will teach farmers about good practices for the soil, how to protect nature, and how to manage pests without harming the environment.
ADM and Bayer believe this will help farmers earn more money and protect the environment at the same time.
ADM and Bayer extend their partnership for three years to support sustainable soybean farming in Maharashtra.
The program will scale up to 100,000 farmers and cover 200,000 hectares across seven districts.
The initial phase successfully reached 25,000 farmers by May 2025.
The partnership focuses on sustainable practices, including Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), biodiversity, and pest management.
ADM and Bayer will continue to provide training and resources to farmers through their extensive networks and programs.
