Rosanna Arquette Joins Ballard Season 2
Rosanna Arquette is joining the cast of Prime Video’s show Ballard for its second season.
She will play Jenny Ballard, the estranged mom of the main character, Renée Ballard, played by Maggie Q. In the books, Renée’s mom was named Makani, but in the show, her name is Jenny.
Jenny is a free spirit who left her family after her husband’s death.
The show is about Renée solving old crimes in Los Angeles with her team.
It’s a spinoff of another show called Bosch, also based on books by Michael Connelly.
The first season was very popular and got great reviews.
Filming for the second season will start soon in Los Angeles.
Rosanna Arquette joins Prime Video’s Ballard for Season 2 as Jenny Ballard, Renée’s estranged mom.
Jenny’s story is similar to Makani’s from the books, with new details added.
Ballard is a spinoff of the Bosch franchise, based on Michael Connelly’s writings.
Season 1 was highly successful, with 2.5B minutes viewed in the U.S. and a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Production for Season 2 will begin in early February in Los Angeles, supported by a $14.84M tax credit.
