Unichem Labs Faces €19.5 Million Demand Notice
Unichem Laboratories, a company, received a large bill from the European Commission.
The bill is for €19.49 million, around 175 crore rupees.
This is because they were accused of breaking rules in a patent dispute about a blood pressure medicine called perindopril back in 2005.
The company already set aside money for part of the fine.
Now, they have to include the added interest in their future finances.
They are looking at their legal options with their lawyers.
The company's stock did go up a little bit on the day the notice came out, but the stock has fallen a lot this year.
Unichem Labs received a demand notice from the European Commission.

The demand includes a principal penalty and accrued interest.
The company's subsidiary, Niche Generics Ltd, has already paid a portion.
