Skepticism Over NH-27 Completion Deadline in Dima Hasao
There is a big road called NH-27 that is being built in a place called Dima Hasao.
The minister said it would be ready by January 31, 2026, but some people who live there think it might not be finished on time.
They say some parts of the road still need more work and safety checks.
The minister also said that the full four-lane road will be ready by April 2026.
So, while some parts are almost done, others need more time.
Minister Kaushik Rai announced the NH-27 Sourashtra-Silchar stretch will open by January 31, 2026.
Residents are skeptical about meeting the deadline due to incomplete work in certain stretches.
Specific portions between Miyangkhro-Kapurchera and near Harangajao need more time for finishing and safety measures.
The full four-lane corridor is expected to be completed by April 2026.
Construction progress has been significant, particularly on the Jatinga-Harangajao segment.
